Post subject: Mitsubishi CG Lancer Aero Reply with quote

Well, its been a long time since i've done any work on any car, so i figured i might revive something i've already done - The 2002 Mitsubishi CG Lancer Aero, also called VR-X. I've made the model, done the textures, all that kinda stuff.. but i always seem to hit a brick wall when it gets to getting the car in game and working! (wow, imagine that). Anyway, the problem is that once the car gets into SF, it flys down and hits the road (is it just me, or isn't this supposed to happen anyway?) - from 1-2 metres above the road. As soon as it hits the ground it freezes and you hafta exit MM2. Everything is named properly, nothing is wrong - as far as I can see! It uses 2 256x256 textures (yeah, instead of 512 or 1024 used previously) but it still doesn't work properly. I'm offering some one the chance to get it in game, you can take all the credit for that due to the fact that I'm fed up with the whole load of crap that MM2 puts out in order to get a damn car into the game! Cheers

Thats the car. As far as I'm aware, there are no breakables - so i doubt it'd be a problem there! I don't actually get the chance to work on this - 1ce or 2ce a week at most, if you remember I actually made this car back in January...

If there aren't any breakables, check to make sure there are no dgbangerdata files for them. You never know.. Wink

its CG as in model - The lancer range (in australia) model names have gone from CA-1988, CB-1990, CC-1992, CE-1995 CE II- 1998, CE2-2000, CG- 2002. At the moment we still have CE2 Coupes and GLXi sedans selling along side the new CG... Because you can't always tell the year of a vehicle, (and sometimes it helps when selling) in Australia nearly all cars are reffered to by their model names - BA Falcon, VT Commodore, TJ II Magna, 100 Series Landcruiser, CG Lancer etc etc... There are a few cars which don't follow the trend- Camry for example has some retard xx000 naming system which nobody here could be stuffed learning - 2 letters at the most

I had the some problem with a test car I made: when modeling I'm usual to keep the X axis in the middle of the car, but I realized (By importing in Z modeler a working car )that the axis in MM2 should be slightly down the wheels.
Try this, if it's not about this, I don't know what's about...
