MM3 wasn't built from scratch. It was made using the Refractor3 engine (or whatever Confused ) which was used in one of the battlefield games.

By using a existing engine, development time and costs are cut dramatically.

Maybe MM4 will use the Battlefield 2142 engine Razz

However, DICE was acquired by EA in 2004, shortly after mm3 was made. Now they may only dev for EA

I never knew mm3 used a game engine from another game. Well, if mm4 was made you could use the game engine from mm3.

That's if DICE still want to use the engine.
Though using an old engine would definately cut the costs in half!

And MM3's graphics still look awesome!

Well, it I guess that'd be a good thing if it was used. About the graphics...they might be too good...I'm sure my computer would be able to hadle it. Although I will be getting update alittle sometime soon.

If you want to play mm4, get test drive unlimited when it comes out, and it's 1000x better than you could imagine any mm4 would be

I signed up for the public beta, it was fun, but buggy as Tim mentioned. The release date has been pushed to March 20th, which is a good thing, as it was going to be released on February 13th. I hope TDU doesn't end up being a Double Agent-like rip-off when it's actually released.

Thread's nearly 2 years old at this point mate, doubt it's worth bringing up again. And the website you mentioned is selling a used version of it, not a new one.
