Hello guys,
When I usually hibernate my PC I switich the socket off, but I have a switich (power on/off switich) on the power supply. Can I use that switich instead and wouldn't do any harm to my power supply? _________________ Love Windows 7 |

Either option won't, or shouldn't harm your power supply. _________________

Is there a way to sleep or hibernate your computer while staying connected to the internet/AIM? Every time I sleep OR hibernate, my laptop kicks me off AIM and the internet. When I get back on the computer, it usually signs me back on. Is there any option that will keep my computer in a low state, come back on how I left it, AND allow me to keep away messages/websites still running without kicking me off?

No.
The idea of putting the pc to sleep is to minimise power consumption and to quickly boot the computer back up, Network cards won't be required while the PC/laptop is in sleep mode, so windows turns off all the services and unneccesary devices to minimise power consumption. |

If you are using a router, generally, it should stay signed on, but only thing I can think of is if you have it set to turn off as you log off (which is effectively what you do when you put your computer to 'sleep'). |

You do more than log off when you put your computer to sleep, and yeah as was said above, it's not possible to do so.
Doesn't matter whether or not you're using a router because the networking services are stopped, and no programs would be able to access the internets. _________________
