I have yet another problem with MM2. After I select a map (custom one) and a vehicle (one of default ones as I have no others installed) I get a message:

memMemoryAllocator:FindHeap failed on ptr 5ba9230

Yes, I have used the search function but no posts have the same error code as that.

As I say, there is only one mod, the custom map, installed. I have tried redownloading the file but that didn't work. I only get this message with this map, even when this file is in the directory and I try to load SF, I get no errors, so it is not MM2.

Any help? Confused

Delete for MM2 directory and install a fresh. Just to see if it makes any difference, because MM2 is too temperamental. Also, see if anybody else has the same problems with the map.

Nobody else has problems with the map. I will try reinstalling now.

::EDIT:: I have reinstalled MM2, but it doesn't even load to the menu before I get this error message:

memMemoryAllocator:FindHeap failed on ptr 5c4bfc8

::EDIT2:: It works up until the exact same point as in the first post, but with a different error code. This code is:

memMemoryAllocator:FindHeap failed on ptr 5ea9f28

"Why is it doing this?" Is all I want to know.

Some maps will just heap no matter what you do if they're really detailed... depends on your system. I mean, I could easily be able to run Shatin City with my hardware for example, but it just won't. I can't even start it on low settings and a **** default low poly vehicle, it just can work for some but not for others. Not necessarily because your computer isn't good enough, it just doesn't like some.

On another game I have I can't even view too many polys on my screen without the game crashing, while others with considerably more basic computers can run them fine (infact multiple). Exactly the same scenario, nothing that you can do about it.

P.S. I don't think the error codes mean anything to anybody here, maybe the programmers of the game would know what it is but not just any MM2 playing Joe Bloggs. Razz

It is. He did some modifications, and since then the map hasn't worked.
