In X-plane, it's spot on. Of course includes all the airports and runways (even the dinky little grass patches out in the sticks they refer to as the airport) throughout the world, and all the navigational beacons and aids (har) to help you, well, navigate as one would do in real life.

You can even fly on Mars, with all the textures, elevation and atmosphere data straight from NASA. Shocked

That is crazy cool. The concept of flight sims makes more sense to me, now that I know that.

Have you ever played a flight sim? Even if you're not in to creating the perfectly real situation, flight path and whatever else, it's still quite fun to fly over big cities and pull ridiculous maneuvers in a 747 Razz

X-Plane even gives you the option of doing a re-entry in the Space Shuttle, the full thing takes ~6 hours, but you can shorted in through various stages right up to landing.

I haven't done the whole thing, just the final approach for landing, turned out ok. Razz

Wow, I'm very interested in buying this.

$29 too, good price considering it has 6 DVD-DL disks.

Which coincidentally converts to £18.30 in my currency.

After watching a good few video's I think I'll be hooked, Downloading The Demo right now first just to see how well it runs etc .

Smile

RIGHT!!

*doesn't order X-Plane 9 now*

Twisted Evil

On a side note, Downloaded the demo of X-Plane 9 and was pleasantly surprised at the level of detail for such a small installation.
