DWdrums04 - I am not talking about applying a relfection on the car in ZModeler, you'd actually need make it in the TGA.

Or... ?

Yeah but that won't work Razz

You need to draw a texture that looks like it has a reflection map.

Reflection maps in ZModeler don't work in Midtown Madness 2. MM2 has its own reflectionmap and seems not to apply to them on breakable parts. Result is that your textures look 'dull' ..

What's there to explain? With a bit of fiddling around you can try to make a texture look reflective, of course reflections on this texture will not move around and look a lot less realistic, maybe even worse than normally.

you could try different normals on your breakables to see if you get a more refelective effect. for example use the "Projection" setting or whatever on the breakables and see what happends.

i've never tried it, i'm just shooting out ideas Wink

how do you do the projection? That soundt like what stormforce did, cause in the car selection menu, the car had an extra beam of light shining on it.

easy stuff Wink

just have only your breakable part highlighted in the objects menu/tree/viewer (what ever you like to call it)

then press select all, then Surface-Normals-Projection

then click on your part and press deselect all.

there should be a noticible differents in the reflective properties of that piece and the rest of the vehical. I'm not sure how it will look in game, but its worth a shot Wink
