i'd guess it'd go for $10,000-$40,000 if they truly have no more plans for MM, but microsoft is very reluctant in selling coyrights and probably wouldnt sell it even if you paid 4 million.

It could be as low as $40,000? If only I was rich...

They might not have lied, but I wouldn't put it past them. You'd probably have to be a big game company, and ask them (Otherwise they would assume that you wouldn't even have the money.). If you were just a normal person they might lie, who knows. What's the number? Doubt my dad would let me though. He hates Microsoft...

there phone number in the USA is (800) MICROSOFT (642-7676)

Hmm, tell them you're asking the question for a company that hasn't been fully esablished yet.

Getting the price is possibly an hug step in the mm community's history. And the history of videogames in general Razz

That would be awesome to own the rights to MM2, but what would be the point? Other than the fact you can tell your friends you own the rights to a game Mr. Green

the point was mentioned earlier: If you own the rights, you say when a new game comes out. Thats why DICE doesnt know about MM3 PC or MM4, MS hasnt given them any orders.

Midtown Madness 4 anyone?

Well, for one thing I don't know of anyone that has an extra $40,000 bucks. Also even if you owned the rights of the game. Wouldn't you still need even more money to pay DICE to make a mm4?

I had an idea: A community donation pool raises money to buy the copyrights, then if thats successful, a community donation pool appears to raise money to make mm4

Hmmm...How much would it cost to have dice make a mm4? Would it be like 2 milion if it was built from the ground on up?

Who knows, but most game developer companys have like around 100 people is seems. And if you have 100 or more people making a game from the scratch, and it take like a year or2 to make...then it's gonna be a good amount of money.
