Also, wow, look at this:

Shocked

Wrong and wrong but still WoW!

Laundry is the code-name that Jeroen used for the new theme to be rolled out for the front of the website and forum. Was due for release but due to personal reasons it was never released.

Ahh the times.. Wink

Edit: I see one of the forum administrators is Bonfire! :O Astonishing

You say that often, perhaps you've never tried the search function, because it worked for me.

Either way, seems the laundry was folded and put away, so to speak.

Laundry was indeed the code name for the second iteration of MM2C. A lot of the code, but not the design, moved into what is now the long dead Forza Studios. I'm not sure if I still have a copy somewhere -- I should have. The reason I never finished it was partly due to personal reasons, but mostly because at the time it became clear there was no future in MM3, meaning the growth of the site would soon come to an end.

As for the original question regarding phpBB3, I think others answered the question correctly. I have no plans to upgrade besides doing security upgrades. Perhaps some day I'll fix one of the few CSS related bugs in the top navigation for non IE browsers, but I doubt it.

Just be glad the forum is still online Smile

What will you do with the forums if anything happens? Make an SQL backup and give it to _Tim_ or someone else to host himself?

Hey Ripp, would you ever consider resurrecting the Forza Studios site considering that Forza 3 is now in development?

No. I intend to always be the final administrator, whether it is hosted on my own machines or somewhere else.

No. I have a full-time job now, so I can't really invest the required time and energy anymore -- nor am I willing to.

Edit: Not many people realize how much time and energy I spend on MM2C to get it to where it was at some point -- by far the most visited MM related website in the community. Doing over 150,000 uniques a month is worth quite a lot these days, but it also required so much from me. I didn't only spend time on MM2C though, but on my web design and development 'career' in general.

I am extremely happy and proud of what I accomplished, but it'd be foolish to say I didn't sacrifice anything. My social life was at a low and I made the stupidest (har) decision of my life during that period.

But it got me where I am today, so I have absolutely no reason to complain. And I won't. But I will never continue the site nor hand it over to someone else unless I am absolutely confident they can keep the quality up of what it used to be or what I intended it to be.
