*blows dust off his presence in this section*

So I've been away from these sections for a while, I got tired of all the bus-related things and just stopped checking anything above the Soap Box. I have been modeling though, here are a couple things.

Datsun 240Z. This may be my favorite model to date. I couldn't find good pictures of the taillights, so I did lights from a Skyline R32 instead, 'cause I've seen pics of a real 240Z with double circle taillights and they look great. Poly count is just above 10K and all that's left is the underbody and exhaust.

Concept car, tentatively named Duel 'cause I poked around a dictionary until I got a word that was suitable as a car name and landed on that. The design wasn't executed exactly how I had it in my head, it's a bit bloated, but I'll be fine tuning it sometime soon.

Both look really nice...I love the Datsun, too, and your concept looks pretty sweet. I don't have much to say beyond that...nice work Smile

they look great. finally, something that isnt busses. you could have modeled a civic with a 4 1/2 foot tall wing and a snowplow body kit and i still would have found that good (i hate rice with a passion) those are very smooth models. looks amazing

I know why it resembles the Corvette; it's the rear windshield and the B-pillar area; the glass is curved Wink

I think several months ago when I started doing the Datsun. I got a Hot Wheels 240Z from their 2007 lineup and immediately thought "hey, I should do a model of a JDM 240Z". Before that it was really on and off, I had my spurts. Like, I did the R32 really quickly, but the other stuff was just spaced out. I discovered that I still really enjoy 3d modeling, and challenging myself to make a better work than the last one. I'm gonna be getting a full time job soon so eventually I'll have to say goodbye to free time, but I'll be keeping this stuff up if I can.

Hey Jason

Damn.. All these people.. Makes me sad we've all left yet people are still creating great cities and games and there are projects out there that shaped so many peoples lives. (And failures in school cos they were on MM)

More Z goodness. I made an engine bay, the engine is a Jaguar V12 (and if you think that sounds unrealistic then look at my reference)
