Post subject: Whole lotta new completed models. Reply with quote

Here is my latest I started yesterday. It is my 2008 Chevrolet SuperSport Concept. It pulls lines from the 70 Chevelle and from my previous 2005 Chevelle concept(which looked like it was from 1985). I was aiming at a real aggressive look that ties into the rest of the Chevrolet line-up and keeping the design modern as possible.

I'm still a little iffy on the front. It is still in the early stages. Anyone have any critique or ideas?

As for the quality of the model, it's very good. I like the design also, but
when i look at the front i imagine the headlights a bit thinner and with
more oval corners. That's my suggestion i guess - to smoothen the
headlight corners.

Wow, that's a really good model, modeling-wise and creativity-wise. Yeah, the only problem is the headlights; they're a bit too heavy for the rest of the body. The body seems to be very modern and (retro) low but the headlights are not blending in with the smooth curves. My suggestion would be sleeker ones Wink.

Lol, enough of my lecture Razz.

EDIT: BTW, I love the rims.

Very nice model. The hood looks a little crowded, you may want to keep only one of the "bumps" (whatever you call them). Also, the headlights need some redesigning. I think it would look good if you made the opposite sides of the headlights more parallel, like a parallelogram, and then if you want, make them sleeker, more rounder. Other than that, this is an excellent model.

The rims are amazing too. Cool I'll need to make similar ones for my Mazda RX-7.

That front looks like it's pulled from an Avalanche/Tahoe/Suburban. Maybe try something more like the new Malibu. Like the way the grill is *Impala too*.

Other than that, there isn't much to comment on at the moment. Hope to see it come together.

That's pretty sexy car, altough the trunk looks too much like a Mustang, I know that there are no taillights yet, but the overall shape is the same "short box" one with vertical rear edge.

Thanks for your input on the car. I've done a few things to the front lights, but it is kind of hard to change the lights significantly since I am persistent on keeping equal sized quad headlights of some sort on the front, like the original 70 Chevelles. I hit a roadblock on the rear. The tailights looked good in my head and in my sketches, but looked like crap on the car(all 3 versions of them I had)...so It's been put on the back burner until I can do more design work on it.

I did however, do some work to some older models that have been sitting for about 6 months..

2003 Ford Shelby Cobra Concept

*Carbon Fiber textures don't translate well to pictures...

I tried making this car in similar style to other authors cars, so it is higher poly than my normal cars, and the textures were handled differently than I am used to.

Polycount is 19345 for the body and 1974 per wheel.

2004 Nissan Murano

I've been working on this for Grand Theft Auto, I was supposed to work on the interior, but decided to texture what parts I already had finished. I still need to do the engine/interior.

Those look AWESOME! The Nissan Murano was on my assembly line...looks like I don't have to bother because there's a much better model here. I would like to know how you get the nice chrome effect on the grilles and headlights.
