I have put *some* thought into this idea. I think there should be a bus forum on mm2c (eg bus.mm2c.com). Soooo many people complain about the "bus noobs". Some really are noobs, and just plain stupid, but others aren't. Some of the older members are leaving/visiting less/have left because they don't really enjoy this place anymore, because of all of the bus enthusiasts and stupid, pointless arguments and flaming. I really think it's a good idea, just to save the forum before it's too late. Also, most people are getting kind of tired of all the bus related topics/posts. I really think this would help MM2C, and bring some of the dead members back to life. Please consider.

I second that.

I think this was brought up some time ago but never went through but I also think separating the herd of bus people will restore order in a flash, at least to our sections.

Busses are projects. People post all sorts of Projects in the PYP forum (Stratous posts his 3D models with no intentions of putting them into MM2), so why make a new forum for a specific type of project just because you don't like what the project is? I feel like this is more about people not liking members who make busses, as opposed to people wanting to organize MM2C.

Just leave it as it is. MM2C is old and shouldn't be changed.

I don't have anything agaisnt the members. It's just that quite a few people have stopped visiting mm2c (or visit less often) because of all of the bus-related topics, and those members that are just constantly arguing and flaming each other. I visit less now because of that, too. Or maybe just make a bus section below the post your project. I think that would be a better idea.

For the love of god, think about what you're saying for once! Do you really think that will solve the problem? I'll give you a moment before I reply again.

what Rippance is trying to say is:

1) if you put bus folks in one room, it's gonna turn into a nuclear holocaust of flaming and ranting.
2) nubs would not know to go directly to that forum

Sorry Bradley, you're wrong too. Allow me to break it down to you guys.

The first question we need to ask is: when do these bus members cause problems? For non-bus members, that is only when they notice. Honestly, you all couldn't care less when they're causing havoc in their own area, as proven by the suggestion in this topic.

Now we need to ask: when do non-bus members notice? When they run into topics in which both bus and non-bus members post. When does this happen? The answer can be any of the following two: in bus-related posts or non-bus related posts.

Given those two choices, I'll explain why the proposed solution is not going to work.

Assuming the posts in which bus members cause problems in such a way it annoys non-bus members are bus-related, then you need to ask yourself what those non-bus members are doing in this posts in the first place? If it really annoys them so much, then give me one good reason why you need to join that bus related conversation. Personally, I don't know one. The best way to deal with this situation is to annoy bus-related topics, if it annoys you that is.

Now, that leaves only one single rational answer left: bus members cause problems in non-bus related posts. If this is true, then will a bus forum really solve the problem? And yet, the answer to that is: it depends. Let's assume we will introduce a bus forum. Then it depends on whether the non-bus related topic was made in the bus forum or in any of the other forums available here.

Again, two possible answers: yes, it was made in the bus forum or non, it was not. Assuming it is yes, then again I ask you, what was the non-bus member doing in the bus forum when it annoys the non-bus so much that he wanted the bus forum in the first place? Finally, assuming it was not and the post was made outside of the bus forum, then we still have not solved the problem, have we?

QED.

Edit: I missed out on one part. Let's assume that all bus members do find their way to the new forum and that all bus members only post in said forum, then the entire problem is solved, right?

Not really. The forums are segmented based on topic, not based on members. I want everyone to have the freedom to post wherever they can based on the topic they want to write about.
