Post subject: Win7 Build 7260, 2x SATA DVD+-RW's and problems Reply with quote

Just bought a 2nd internal SATA LG Super Multi DVD Rewriter and installed it into my system, which is a Dell Prescision 370 Workstation running Windows 7 Build 7260.

Not a major issue, I've reconfigured the bios from Combi mode to the Default RAID/ACHI option for the drives and moved my PATA ide hdd to a PCI IDE adapter card.

Anyway, boot into Win 7, and try to write some discs - and all fail - dvd r and dvd rw discs.

Gone back into the bios and changed back to Combi, and rebooted back to Windows, and tried writing a disc and it works.

Anyone got any suggestions?

Board is configured (In Combi Mode) as follows:
SATA 0 = HDD (Western Digital WD400JD)
SATA 1 = Disabled due to Combination Mode
SATA 2 = Optical (LG GE20LU10) - my original SATA dvd supermulti drive
SATA 3 = Disabled due to Combination Mode

If I enable RAID/ACHI mode, then BIOS is configured as follows:
SATA 0 = HDD (Western Digital WD400JD)
SATA 1 = Optical (GH22NS40) - this is the new SATA dvd supermulti drive
SATA 2 = Optical (LG GE20LU10) - my original SATA dvd supermulti drive
SATA 3 = Off

Am using Windows 7 Build 7260 and Nero 9.4.13.2
