Oh my.. How big is your HD then?

I've only installed one scenery DVD, South America which for some reason includes New Zealand (yeah, because they're pretty close together).

Only hiding to outsiders. Tim has me compressed in such a small space that it doesn't even put a dent in his hard drive space.

Yes it's on the ifoon and touch, but it's ~33mb. For it only includes the 'demo' scenery, not the entire planet.

Well FSX can end up taking around 100GB once you've got a ton of scenery addons... it's crazy Razz

Any flight sim can. Ive been use FS2004 lately because it's got a wider database of scenery. When I installed it was about 3-4GB I think and now I'm at 16GB thanks to scenery, jet sound packs (sometimes 60MB each) and airplanes.

For someone who knows nothing about flight sims...is the earth you're flying over really accurate to the planet?

In X-plane, it's spot on. Of course includes all the airports and runways (even the dinky little grass patches out in the sticks they refer to as the airport) throughout the world, and all the navigational beacons and aids (har) to help you, well, navigate as one would do in real life.

You can even fly on Mars, with all the textures, elevation and atmosphere data straight from NASA. Shocked
