Post subject: Steering Wheels (Again lol)! |
|
|
I've decided to buy a wheel for MM2 but noticed some aren't compatible with MM2 :O
Any suggestions on CHEAP! wheels with pedals?

I got a Saitek R660 Racing wheel, with pedals and mini sequental gearshifter, for £50 of play.com Pretty useful, has ajustable force feedback that if'd set to full would shake my monitor off it's desk LOL! |

It's your aggression dave, I copied you when you ordered yours and I got mine just a bit later, and I use mine everyday! (Then again, I couldn't break the brake, never use the fucker!)
TBH though, the left gearshifter paddle is fecked and squeaks like a leyland oly on a good day.....meh. |

I would seriously recommend the G25. Ok, it's not cheap, but is one of the better investments I've made.
I got mine for substantially less than the average price on a good offer @ Misco a while ago... £100.
Ok, so not everything on it is compatible with MM2... clutch doesn't work, nor does gear change properly, but hey, if you're using it mainly with semi-auto buses, who cares!
On the upside, you get a 900 degree wheel, lots and lots of programmable buttons, you can easily change the strength of the vehicle, you can change the gear stick very easily into a handbrake and looooooads more!
Seriously, if you have £100 after Christmas, buy the Logitech G25!! _________________ So it's "Goodnight" from me. And it's "Goodnight" from him. Goodnight! |

I've got a Logitech Driving Force, it does basically everything a G25 does (after you take away the stuff that doesn't work properly e.g. clutch and H shifter) and it was a fair bit cheaper. I paid £80 for mine and that was a good year ago at least. It's designed for the PS3 but because it's USB it works fine on the PC without even needing any drivers etc. I'd recommend downloading the Logitech Gaming Software if you do get a Logitech. It also unlocked my 900 degree steering for me |

G25 has leather wheel, bigger standard size than the driving force.
The clutch and gears on the G25 can be used on other driving games (and it works fine on them...
Oh and the gear stick is able to be put either side or just packed away from the G25. So, worth the extra money. _________________ So it's "Goodnight" from me. And it's "Goodnight" from him. Goodnight! |

I know, I meant for MM2
Actually there's a surprising amount of games that the clutch and/or gear stick don't work properly for. I know quite a few people that have one, and they don't work on any of the main games I play (about 5). So, at least for me, there is no difference function wise. |

The microsoft xbox360 steering wheel with pc adapter is good.
Definitely cheaper than a G25. _________________

Dunno about anyone else but i've noticed anyone who owns the G25 seems to be a jackass about it like all wheels are crap compared, they never think some people don't have loads of money to spend on a steering wheel to just play GAMES! _________________ Being a bus enthusiast....

Nope, each wheel has it's good and bad things. It just seemed that the moment a G25 is mentioned people are too quick to slag it off and usually those, who have never tried the G25, are addiment that there's is better.
The G25 is my 4th or 5th wheel and by far the best in my opinion. _________________ So it's "Goodnight" from me. And it's "Goodnight" from him. Goodnight! |
