I thought winRAR didn't allow you to extract ANY file without first providing a password.

But you have to be able to extract the file to open it and get the password in the first place Wink

If you just open it from inside WinRAR, it still extracts it but to a temporary file. It's got to extract it to be able to read it.

WinRar allows you to read txt files whilst they are still in the RAR file(it lets me do it anyway).

Read what I just said again... it does extract it, but to a temporary file. Which you don't see, so you are none the wiser.

That may be, but it is still allowing me to READ the contents of the file whilst it is still in the RAR file.

It just makes you think that, everything that happens is behind the scenes Wink

Anyway, all I'm saying is that you can infact somehow not password protect certain files. No idea how, never tried it.

It is in the readme file, keep reading the readme file until you find the letter "G" next to some numbers/letters, because it is set in chinese that english computers cannot understand, that is the case, ONLY chinese computers can find the password easily... the english ones are harder but as I told you, after the letter "G" is the password
