Hello,
I can now convert a track from MM1 to MM2! It is Archipelago!
I will convert iit to MM2. Should I get permission from tek_xcto? Or, should I even get permission to convert it since it's such an old track? hmmm. Pics!:

Today's Update:
Hi. I got most of the textures loaded. But, I cannot get it to work ingame. It crashes while loading at about 30-40%. All the textures are the right sizes(either 256x256 or 512x512). I split it into 4 objects(the highest polygons being around 2,400 polygons. It still wouldn't work. does anyone have any ideas?

Hello,
I got the track ingame! Thanks Sajmon and Franch! I split it into 38 objects and now it works without any lag(even with the 45,000 polygon buick enclave!)! I put on all the textures for the track, but still need to put in the props.

BTW, Most people don't think that I need permission. tek_acto is loooong gone. So, they just said give him credit for the track and release it!  _________________

Yes it may be a weird hobby but it's no differant to lets say car enthusiast's or train spotters,plane spotters or any other transport enthusiast so it's the people who make fun of us or who get mad at us for our hobby that need to get a life seriously. |

You haven't asked TEK_Xacto for permission? How'd you get those files then?! I figured the .ar would be locked, and even if not, how did you get the geometry files into zmod, aren't they like the unreversable .bms files of MM1 cars?
I had no idea the track was so small given the amount of area MM1 would allow for a custom track. Xacto had alot more room to play with, I am surprised he didnt add more.
I'd try and get in contact with him if possible, but if he's anything like me, I probally wouldn't care after this many years have passed since it's creation. _________________

I opened the .ar by renaming it, than extracting it. I sent it to him and he liked it. So, I think I have permission.  |
