i recently downloaded classic madness for mm2. when i go to extract the files WinRAR diagnostic says the file is "either in unknown format or damaged". is there a way to change the format/repair the files?

Winrar does have a way to at least try to repair a file. I doubt it can do much at all but it did once help me unrar a file that was supposedly damaged.

Usually though, if you get such a message then the file is corrupted beyond repair. Often times something just went wrong with the download or it didn't finish completely so it is missing information. So if you can't get it to work you will have to redownload the file.

It says that when the file is locked, you'll find that with most .ar files. It's supposed to do it.

UNLESS it's a zip or rar file which you need to open to get the ar files, in that case try redownloading it.
