Fortunately, Random Monster, this forum also features a (rudimentary) messaging system.

Aye, a PM function. And then there's the IRC channel. Join if you dare. Shocked

Btw Chris, I doubt MM2 multiplayer will work for ya, unless you have opened the required ports on your router. Also, there's no point saying you're using TCP/IP connection, as that is the only method that can be used now! Posting your IP address on a public message board is very dangerous aswell.

All the more reason why I can't understand how you can call people n00bs, just look at this topic. LOOK AT IT. Neutral

You need to use a client :
Voobly : Client Download - Main Website
Hamachi : Main Website
Tunngle : Client Download - Main Website
Usage:

Hamachi :

Requirements : Forwarded Ports
What to Do : Tell people to join your created network, give username and password, then tell them to join TCP IP with your Virtual IP Adress

Voobly:

Requirements : Forwarded Ports
What to Do : Ask someone to join your room, click start when everyone is ready

Tunngle:

Requirements : Just a PC
What to do : Join the MM2 lobby, and click start!

Why does he need to do that? Just open the following ports on your router:

- TCP: 47624
- TCP: 2300 - 2400
- UDP: 2300 - 2400

Then give the people your IP address which can be found here and your done. Just remember to renew the IP after cruise.

Security Risks go down? wtf u on about dude?

personally I find using "clients" awkward to use and don't really benefit anybody, in case you didn't know, some of these "clients" come bundled with Adware or Spyware, now I don't know about you but I would rather open up my router settings and forward the necessary ports instead of wasting more system resources by downloading and running clients to do the same job as opening up a few ports.
