Post subject: ZModeler Problems Reply with quote

Hi all, I am having problems with my ZModeler Sad The problem is that when I go to find the Diplay>Center Axis it isn't there!! That it the only problem that I have discovered so far. Oh and also I have figured that on one of my saved models I can't delete the faces because if I click to delete any face it stops responding and crashes!!

I would be very grateful if you could help me with this Smile Thanks:)

I know LOL they didn't happen on the same day (At least I hope not) they have both been like this for a while and I just couldn't be bothered to even write a message out LOL (LAZY)

EDIT: I have found that if I go into Display>Local Axis, there is a Center Axis in there Confused Is it the same center axis just moved into another area?

No, there should only be one "Center Axis" available to you, With this selected and SEL unselected, You can click wheel objects and body objects so that in game they appear exactly as they do within Zmod.

Centering the Axis also prevents wheels from detatching from the main body in game ( when the vehicle moves ), It also keeps light objects in the position you have placed them in ( i.e over modelled headlights for example )

A good example of this would be that If you did NOT centre the axis on the front left headlight object before exporting, In game the light Object would be somewhere near the middle of the vehicle ( Usually inside ) which isn't practical.

HOWEVER, When you DO center the axis on the front Left headlight prior to exporting, Once the model is in the game, The headlight will remain in the same position as you had placed it within Zmod.

There are 2 ways to Center the Axis on your models.

1. When you have modelled everything and it is ready to export into PKG, THEN deselect ALL objects and then re-enable them one at a time, with each Object re-enabled click on it with the Center Axis tool and SEL disabled in Object mode.

Keep doing this until you have everything showing in the 3d window.

2
A quicker Way also would be to go to Select->All in Object Mode with SEL Enabled, Then click Display-> Center Axis and then Click anywhere on the model that is Red, Upon the Very first click on an object in either the Side, Top, Rear Views will instantly Center the Axis of all the selected Objects ( namely everything )

Hope this helps mate.
