I have not checked specifically for divided roads, but I would guess that attribute 0x0a with the special case mentioned eariler can be used for that. Just put two of them in the block next to the road.

You're gonna hate me now fre_ber, but here's more: Attribute 0x12 is a (subway?) rectangle strip with 2 cross sections, 0x15 have 5 cross sections. Do I sense another attribute family?

No, I do not hate you - quite the opposite. This hasn't been this refreshing in a long time! Actually I was on to that 0x15 before, I have had it written on my whiteboard for ages, I just never got around to do anything about it. Just make sure that I don't forget to implement them in PSDL Viewer... Wink

ok i heard that psdl editer makes better roads then zmod. Is making roads in psdl really complicated. I really want to learn how to make some. Making roads with sidewalks in zmod tends to be blocky..

I don't wanna sound harsh, but why not read the very first page of this topic? A common road strip need to have at least 2 cross sections of 4 vertices each, making a minimum of 8 vertices. Sidewalks are rendered automatically based on the 4 vertices in each sections, now go install PSDL Viewer and read some more. You can do it! Thumbs Up

OK, I just looked at attribute 0x0a sidewalk strip (2 cross sections). This attribute need 4 vertices. If vertex reference 0 and 1 == 1 the next two vertices will make a single triangle end piece. If vertex 0 and 1 == 0, the next vertices make a begin piece (or vice versa). Else it's just a regular sidewalk strip.

Indeed.. works. Though if you want to create a left sidewalk end first two have to be 0 instead of 1 (to reverse the inclination - if that's not what you were trying to say - fre_ber already implemented this into PSDL Viewer). One just puts two0050's (n+1!) and 2 000a's (for each side of the road) before the actual road strip.

Gonna start with that 0x4b tunnel attr now (Bah.. feel like I'm slower than the rest.. anyway, need this for my track.. when I'm done I'll post pic in my Bahn topic)..

P.S. For those just starting with PSDL: block structure

0050
0050
0050
0050
000a
000a
000a
000a
0080/0082/008x/divided road/whatever

i just had a weird thought. Is putting a psdl road in zmod possible? it would be so much easier that way to make a good road with sidewalks. Ive been trying psdl for months now and i just cant make anything.

Have you tried it again? There was a typo in the vertices list, but it's corrected now. I've tried my best to make the tutorial as complete as possible..

Fre_ber, in your new version of PSDL Viewer attr. 0x40 (0xc0) is interpreted incorrectly (the options for a divided road don't show up)

Ouch... Missed that... Hmm... Will look into it...

Edit:
Ok, I found the error... Something really strange must have happened there... Probably when I was messing around inside the versioon control system. I must have accidentaly wiped away at least one version of a special file... I hope that it still works though.

Now, here's a dilemma: Should I give you guys a bugfix release or not? If I do give you a bugfix release now, it will contain the, still totally volatile, BAI code. That may blow up your computer...

Sorry for bring up an old topic, but someone knows how to change the heigh of a sidewalk? If it have been said before, where can I read it?

(I don't even know if it's controlled by bai, psdl road attributes, road list unknown values,...)
