He, he, I feel like a stubborn child.. Wink

opt_ wouldn't be good... ('o' > 'm')

Also I don't mind long file names, so having just one letter to identify what kind of optional file it is looks confusing to me.

Also, what about adding a prefix for non-standardized mods? This would of course have to be done manually after download by everyone.

Just select a prefix starting with 'm' and the second letter smaller than 'm'.. Hmm... Any good synonyms matching this criteria?
Hard to think of one... What about "nostd_"?

I don't see anything wrong with the fact that o>m, because like I said I'm being stubborn with the "!" for the reasons I mentioned...

And if you don't want to use opt*_, then we could always do the long filename alternative, like opt_refl_.

as far as your other proposal... lemme re-read that...

I see, yes, that would be a good idea, try nofns_ Wink

With the commment about an addition to CarLoader, could you add to the existing program? If you didn't know you can contact the author, for the files as he nolonger works on it.
Visit the CarLoader website avaliable in the ReadMe. At the same time, you might allow it to access locked *.ar files. Smile

I am not suggesting that we make modifications to CarLoader, but maybe this is a good idea. The only thing I said was that the principle it uses could be used by us as well. And if we are too lazy to make a program for it, we can manually copy files back and forth.

Do you really need programming class to understand it? Razz

I haven't taken any classes for anything related to graphic design or programming, I will next year, but by that time I'll have already made money from making logos Wink

Oh well, glad you understnad it, it's critical that people can understand it in order for it to come into effect.

Absolutley, if its something like a flash based logo it could make up to and more than $1000.

Well, I've named my Civic according to the MM2FN Standard, it will be released soon.

My .ar is named Car_CMTegner_CivHB.ar, and the rest of the files(minus the textures though) are named CMTegner_CivHB[_*].*.

I'm in the final beta testing now, but the file name thing wasnt't a problem, even with the sounds and .csv files, no problem at all.

So, I dont know if I'm the fist person to release a car to the MM2FN standards, but at least I gave it a try.
