no i think fce finish is overrated, i did the normals in zm using nothing but hte caluculate tool.

Yeah, I think you can use ZModeler and you can make the normals better than what FCE Finish will do. That is, if you know how to do it. Like on flat surfaces, select, then detach and calculate. Then re-attach.... Its that simple...

looking good, chadwick. how many polys is that?

actually, I find that the results are pretty similar doing normals in zmod and fcefinish... the only advantage that I can see is that you in fcefinish can decide how much smoothening you want... and that it actually makes normals groups, so you don't get split vertices. I use zmod to do them just because it's faster =/

well here i am gona tell u 2 things, i model over 4 months, and when u look at front view of ur car, u can see hood with black tint somewhere on the hood. obviosly it has to be all white, when the normals are done Wink
