Click Here and see some progress on the car:
http://www.geocities.com/dwdrums04/GP_1.html

the highly detailed model will include detailed engine compartment / underbody / interior / trunk. Features breakable mirror / hood / trunk-lid / grill / front + rear bumpers / and possibly the doors/ I wanted to to the Chrome rings that go on the rims, but the woulnt spin then. Eventually a modified version will be made that will feature a custom convertible, with a hood scoop, custom paint, lowered, and nice 20 inch rims. i may be a while, lol Razz . I am not even half-way done yet, only the side, front, the hood, and the windsheild are complete. Next is the interior, then the roof, and ill work my way onto the back, then the engine compartment and the under body.[img][/img]

I was a lil worried when it came out of obscurrity, but I can see that it is like no other car. I like pontiacs, the GTOs are a favourite of mine. you must know that with all the shiny parts being breakables the car won't be able to use reflections on the breakables. a shame about that, but I guess if you want breakables you shall have breakables. do you plan on making other pontiacs? or is this a one car show?

Well guys, I'm glad to hear that you like my work Very Happy !!! I guess as a 16 year old, it aint bad, i was worried to post my work. Yes, the GTO is a very nice car, I guess if people really would like me to focus on Pontiac's, yes I would do it because I love Pontiac's. I love a lot of cars, I love the fact that not only you can create anything you want, but its even better that you can simulate driving it in such a game like MM2. This model is going to be for show, but I will edit it so its not so complicated. About the reflections(King_Fuzzman)...There is a Buick GSX with a breakable hood, and it didnt look too bad, an long as before you export it, you apply a reflection map to the material, it will look fine, shouldn't it?
In the past...Back when MM1 came out I was really into it, and once I found out you can make cars, thats all I have been trying to do. I found a copy of 3DS Max and I tried and tried, I read every tutorial available, but I could not get it to show up in the game correctly. After talking to TekXacto (a brilliant MM1 car creator) I found out that I was saving the textures in the wrong resolution and pixles/in. I also had a hard time keeping the amount of poly's down because of the poly limit, that was a pain. When MM2 came out I was relieved that you dont have a poly limit. I got my first car in the game, and it was the same car in working on now, but a year and a half ago, and it was nice, but not as detailed. Then my computer crashed and I lost the file 2 days later and I was so upset, so i gave up for a while. Then, I notice that people like Stormforce were releasing these remarkable modles with such great detail, it convinced me to start up again. I practiced a bunch of things to figure out how to do it right, and now I am almost halfway done with my best model yet.
I'm sorry for the long message, but i thought it would be nice to know about my experiance.

Any breakable part in Midtown Madness 2 will not have an reflection map applied, no matter what Sad

Though you could fake a reflection by applying a reflection on the texture itself.

Yeah rippance, that's what I was talking about, I figured that if you apply a reflection map to it that it will plent the object in with the rest of the car. But I just thought about it, and, I guess I really dont want breakables, except maybe the bumpers, headlight, side mirror,.
