Post subject: 10 minute Truck Reply with quote

Chassis detail

Truck Cab

This truck has so far taken about 10 minutes to slap together - was thinking about doing a World Trade Centre tribute to the Brits (and everyone else) who lost their lives.

Before you ask, yes I am still working on the Ford GT40 - just decided to take a break on this first anniversary of the tragedy that was America's Darkest Hour.

Looking great so far, and I think that 10 min. is a little too short though.

Post subject: Picky Reply with quote

You may think I'm being a little picky here but I have a funny feeling that the front solid axle should have coil springs and not leaf springs. I may be wrong as I don't know the model and I live in Australia with different things but there aren't many vehicles that have leaf springs all the way around.
Thanks

I don't see why people never fix the normals on cylinders that they make... oh well it's looking pretty good, but it seems really short? Neutral

hmm, there is two ways ot answer that, cos i dont udnerstnad

1) I never said/dont remember saying that the GT Falcon was 350 kw, must of been someone else.

or

2) You found out that it was 350kw from somewhere else, and in my "coment" it says 310kw. I got that infomation from someone at www.fordforums.com, but itll prob be less than that. BUt saying its more is always better.[/quote]

just for the record - this truck is NOT based on anything in real life which is why there are differences between MY suspension setup and what they should be if it were based on a real truck.

The truck is 1064polys and rising.

Updated pic (textured):

Things to make:
wheels
US flag and British flag (both at half mast)
wing mirrors
and something else for the back of the truck (any ideas?)

Post subject: wicked Reply with quote

Starting to look good, though it looks at little bit like a square. But that doesn't bother me that much, it is how much it handles.
Thanks
