Post subject: Community Rules Changes (10/25/2003) Reply with quote

Non-written rules are now written. These changes are effective immediately.
No Cursing or Swear words.
We encourage you to use our forum to debate subjects, but please refrain from using offensive language. We will not tolerate abuse upon another member or evading the forum's swear filter.

No Advertising.
The Midtown Madness 2 Central Forums is a public place to debate subjects, not a place to advertise a website or product. Please refrain from making threads dedicated to advertising your website, forum or commercial product with the intention to increase visitors or sales. This determination is made by the forum Moderator or Administrator and is not up for discussion.

Some guidelines / rules we would like to remind you of:
If you are a long standing member, act like one. Lead by example and assist other newer members rather then attacking them. We look upon our veteran members to use this opportunity to teach the newer members the appropriate way to use these message boards.

No Xbox Live Gamertags Abuse.
These are a luxury and abuse of them will result in them being lost. This includes (but is not limited to) using false tags.

Thanks,

Lots of people. As soon as the XBOX Live Gamertag option was created, lots of people wrote a fake one like "I dont have one" or "n/a", which is why that rule is written.

Yes you will. With the launch of MM2C V3 we don't want fake tags to show up in the listing.

I don't see why you would need to put "n/a" or "none" in the Gamertag slot...if you don't have anything showing up then everyone will probably just assume you don't have one anyway.

Good boy. Now, roll over and speak! Wink

Anyways, I think seeing as these conventional (also known as non-written) rules are already respected by most of the community, we should have no problems keeping this rule alive.

Good of you to post them too, Ripp.

RULES

*Ahem*

Rules.
They're everywhere.
Day and night.
Where ever we go there's rules.
If there were no rules, life would be a bomb, you'd think.
But if there were no rules, what would happen if you were to cross the street without looking both ways?
What would happen if the cars don't stop?
You'd be crushed.
Rules have come a long way.
They keep everything in order.
They make sure that everything is in place.
Rules, on the other hand, are sometimes fun to break.
Just to see what the consequences are.
But not for everyone.
Some people love rules, they can't get enough of it!
Some people hate rules, don't ask me why. *Ahem*
So, that concludes my poem about rules.
You know, if there were no rules, this poem might never end?

Thank You.
