Post subject: Image Gallery Posting Standards. Reply with quote

Ok, this i feel must get done, you really should, and hopefully this gets pinned as a rule, post under standards of this sort:

If you are posting a wallpaper, as your topic title put:

[Wallpaper] <Image title or description>

If you are posting an icon for another example put:

[icon] <Icon title or desc>

if you are posting an image:

[image] <title + (deffinantly include some description)

etc. etc.

That way people know what they are getting before hand, and obviously this can only help, if i want to find a new wallpaper and im looking here, i will be looking at hte [wallpaper] posts.

Okay, but it wasn't necessary to make so many threads... Confused

wtf are you talking about?

1 thread per image, that way you get responses to that specific image, that is how it works dude, im not going to make one topic and put 80 images in it and expect to get feedback on every single one. And if you open each topic, omg, you will find different images, i didn't make htem just for an example i posted my creations.

I'm saying put maybe 2 per thread, or one at a time, wait for replies, then add more. All I saw was 5 threads made by you.

well get used to it, just becasue i started it off with 5 images in the row, doesn't mean anything, 1 picture per thread is how it works, its the best way.

And unlike the images u posted which were just tests and not final images, my images were completed compositions that i would like to recieve some comments on, therefore each gets its own thread. Now if someone creates a 1969 boss mustang ss thread, that is different, but if you are displaying yoru work, it deserves its own topic.

There's another reason to stick to the standards: If someone wants all the wallpaper topics, they can search for "[wallpaper]" in image forum titles, and get back all the wallpapers. Otherwise, your topic won't appear.

I would like to add another suggestion:

When posting large images, please make a thumbnail version with a link to the large one. When I post images, I usually make a 350 pixels wide thumbnail for the main post and a fullsize image at the other end of the link.

The reason that I want this is that I usually uses a browser window that matches the width of the layout of MM2C, that means that I have to scroll to see large images. Clicking on it, however opens a new, full size window. It would also help the poor people with slow connections.
