I understand that it's rippance's decision...but look at the forums for a minute. MM2 topics have way more popularity than MM3 topics do.

You realize that that's another reason to close down if MM3 doesn't come out for PC, right.. there's hardly any interest in MM3 for the XBox at a website Confused

Yeah, but the interest in MM2 and modelling as a whole makes up for it.

Unfortunately, it doesn't. It's a fact that a small group of fanatics are not capable of keeping the site running.

When MM2C moved to this server, I have said it will be the site's last place to visit ever. You have to set a certain goal for a site in order to keep it running the way you want to see it running and the way you want to see it being run. The goal for MM2C is to stay on this server and that only happends when the bills are covered.

Unfortunately, the number of visitors has decreased by 50% (if not more) in about a year time. This is quite a good representation of the overal interest from players in Midtown Madness 2. If this decrease continues, then at some point the bills will not be covered and the plug will be pulled.

Why close if Midtown Madness 3 for the PC is indeed cancelled? Motivation and pride. There's one thing that's not going to happen and that's me sitting here seeing MM2C slowly bleed to death. We all have worked too hard for that to happen.

I hope this shed some light. But don't be depressed! It ain't over till the fat lady sings! Or well, in this case a skinny geek with glasses called Bill Gates.

we're behind you all the way Ripp

It would be a shame to have to do it, but there may come the time when you have to say enough is enough, unfortunately.

What if everyone kept bugging MS to bring MM3 to the PC? Reckon they might bring it then?

Big companies take more of a "national concensus" than individual opinion. Our small community would be classed as an individual opinion in their books I would expect. So, little use. It is whether they will make the game profitable, and our community of 500-1000 members isn't going to cut the mustard if we're the only buyers (which won't be the case).

i've been mulling over the news for a good while now ( i heard a week or more ago Neutral ).

And its unfortunite that it may end like this. But all good things come to an end etc etc etc.

And i see alot of doom and gloom, but most people are fairly well in contact with one another here so its not like you'll never get the chance to make fun of Jason again or anything. Mr. Green

the only thing that kinda bugs me is that it looks as though Version 3 of MM2C will never see the light of day. *cough hint hint* Wink

but hope for the best in the next month.

i'm done babbling now

If mm3 isn't coming out for PC, that is, what'd really be the point of mm2C v3 coming out? Confused
